Creative Conscience Awards

Aid to a problem the world is currently facing

Campaign Design

For the Creative Conscience 2023 Awards, I chose the theme of human rights and focused my project on female access to education, addressing the Taliban's ban on education for girls in Afghanistan. I introduced Tiny Books, an organization dedicated to providing temporary aid in overcoming barriers to education for Afghan girls. The initiative involves Tiny Books: A8-sized versions of popular literature to discreetly share and encourage learning. The concept relies on public book donations, which can be returned, recycled, or donated further. I designed a vibrant color palette to evoke hope and trust while differentiating book categories. Each A8 book is made using the zine technique and tailored to specific age groups for ease of sharing and hiding.

Assets include age-range stickers, a donation app, and Tiny Towers drop-off points. I have also created a concept for a website, which would have live updates of the situation. To facilitate donations, I designed Tiny Towers, which serve as collection points resembling homes atop stacks of books. The ‘About’ page which informs visitors about our mission and provides live updates on the Afghan education situation.

Below are also some developments of my video, from illustration of a street, with voiceover explaining Tiny Books, while leading you to a Tiny Tower and a walkthrough of the website.

Above is my video submission, also promotion for the cause.
